Guys listen....keep grinding...keep upskilling ...stay relevant to modern needs .. .stop listening to these guys ..almost all of youtubers are talking that there is no job out there .....but it's not true .....these channels are just earning views by raising such false claims.

The instructor is good but personally I had issues following along, he would write bad code then ask the audience what we should do? Which made no sense to me because I am learning and it over complicated the whole learning process indirectly. Once I knew all the terms from my own research I went back and it was good but it’s not my typical style of learning. Personally, I like more direct learning

I finished both specialisations and I think the Meta one is way better. I dont agree with you when you say its good to do both. I think the best strategy would be to do the Meta one and then head straight for the Google Advanced Data Analytics one which I have also completed. I think they blend well

Oversaturation. Everyone got hyped about coding so everyone got an SWE degree and took bootcamp and grinded leetcodes. Then Data science got hyped so everyone jumped on that, and then it was machine learning/AI and people are jumping on that. It's like the goldrush, if everyone got a shovel and shifting the river bank for gold, how many of them do you think will actually become rich? The only people making money are the people selling bootcamp programs and classes and guides LOL Not many people remember but the most popular engineer degree in 2000 was actually bio-med and arch engineering. Those got oversaturated real fast and people started moving to EE and CS........

Get it on-sale 50%. It's for freshman programmers and non-software engineers like me. I only use python as a tool, I don't develop or maintain python codes. It's very good for ramping you up to speed on what you need to do to get things to work. It will not teach you how to be a good efficient programmer or how to fix corner cases, rather it teach you the basics to get things moving: plotting histogram, massaging and processing data, basic scripts and math functions, reading python codes, maintaining simple databases, automation, data analysis, etc etc It says 3-4hr per course, I can do them in 1.5 hours because I tend to write alternative codes to test out function capabilities and i also google questions that pop into my brain. If I just straight up do exactly what they ask, I can finish in 30-40min but that isn't the objective. I believe the best way to use datacamp is to follow a track, take the course, and at each exercise try to come up and test alternative ways to use to code and also look up google on why certain things are done the way they are, for example set vs list, yield vs return(aka generator vs function) etc etc. And definitely do those guided projects, those will at least get you comfortable scripting python by yourself. There courses for ML, statistics, data processing, SQL, database, scientific computing, etc etc. It's not the depth that matters, it's the breadth and speed you can take advantage of. You want depth? go read a book on statistics in python and practice 100hrs. Some people say the best way to learn is some kind of 10 week bootcamp or some 100hr course on coursea. I disagree because sitting through classes is boring and you're either preping for interview or upskilling for your job, there's no time for full courses. In that case, datacamp is exactly what you need to get thing started, again for non-software engineers and freshman SWE because all us non-SWE major just took 1 programing course and 1 DSA course and that's all we got and most of the time that's all we need. Datacamp will help you to refresh and polish those skills. For SWE, especially looking for FAANG, you guys need to probably take a coursea or udemy course and grind leetcode for 2 month, datacamp is breadth for practical applications and won't help you lol Sorry there's no short cut for SWE, just practice practice but also don't get burned out or you would just hate it

Meta's python for data analysis section was great, mainly the videos about subsets, which I didn't find a video about in youtube.

The best certification is to get an online masters (MSc) which you can complete in 2 years

When i first started this field in the late 2010s, nobody wanted to be a DA. Now everyone wants to be one. They don’t care about tech or data, they just want to work remote.

I completed the Microsoft Course in Coursera and prepared for the PL-300 exam and Now I'm a Microsoft Certified Data Analyst. Just to mention both Tableau and Power Bi are similar just UI is diff.

Luke, from my point of view Microsoft course is better than Google for 2 points: 1. It’s more focused where you will master PowerBi which is in very high demand nowadays. 2. It will prepare you very well to be certified which is a very good thing to have especially in North America.

Google's course is a better starting point for beginners but overall Microsoft's course is better since it gives you a discount on the certification and teaches you how to do data analytics on cloud.
